As Principal and Senior Geologist at HydroCon, Craig is responsible for directing the technical aspects of our environmental projects. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Earth Science and is a Washington state licensed geologist and hydrogeologist.
Craig has over 33 years of professional experience throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Hawaii and international work in Estonia and Japan. His experience includes project management for site characterization and remediation of petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvent, municipal landfills, chemical, steel, and pesticide manufacturing facilities, and former wood treatment sites. His previous experience includes 16 years as a Senior Geologist and partner at an environmental consulting firm (PNG Environmental) and overseas manager for a geologic services company in the geothermal energy exploration industry.
Craig’s technical responsibilities on these projects has included hydrogeologic evaluation of aquifer characteristics with respect to contaminant fate and transport, groundwater and soil characterization, feasibility studies, selection and implementation of remedial measures, performance sampling for site closure and technical writing. He has achieved regulatory closure of several petroleum hydrocarbon and chlorinated solvent release sites through risk-based approaches, obtaining unconditional No Further Action Determinations for several of these sites.
